ODMK: The Black Keys going through the speakers of a 62' Chevy Nova. In the trunk is a cooler filled with beer & a blanket. I'm parked in a field and it's a hot summer afternoon in August. The sweat makes my tee stick to my body. The gentle wind passes through the open doors of the car. In my right hand I have a copy of The Portrait of Dorian Grey folded into the steering wheel- my left, a king can of Budweiser. I am burnt out. The guy I think I love that particular day is sitting next to me in a pair of neon blue/black Ray-Bans, he shares his Camel cigarette with me and we chat about blackholes or the most recent season of some bull shit reality tv show. We watch the sunset. Perfect.
